Bonbibi (2024) Trailer: Dibyendu Bhattacharjee as antagonist looks impressive

On February 23, 2024, Dag Creative Media unveiled the official trailer for their upcoming film, Bonbibi: Widows of the Wild. The movie features Parno Mitra, Arya DasGupta, and Dibyendu Bhattacharjee in leading roles, with Sohini Sarkar, Rupanjana Mitra, and Ranojoy Bishnu in supporting roles. Directed by Rajdeep Ghosh, the film is set to hit theaters on March 8, 2024.

The 2-minute trailer opens with Parno Mitra guiding foreigners as a local tour guide through various locations in Sundarban. She shares romantic scenes with Arya DasGupta amidst the lush landscapes.

The trailer highlights the tragic deaths of local men killed by tigers in the forest, leaving their widows vulnerable to the machinations of a local criminal, Jakir (played by Dibyendu Bhattacharjee). Rupanjana Mitra's character emerges as a leader among the widows, rallying them to confront the criminals.

Dibyendu Bhattacharjee's portrayal as the antagonist and Parno Mitra's performance as the protagonist are the standout features of the trailer. The music composition by Soumyadip Sikdar & Saptak Sanai adds depth to the narrative.

The makers released the official teaser of the film on January 26, 2024. "Bonbibi: Widows of the Wild" marks Parno Mitra's first collaboration with director Rajdeep Ghosh and co-star Arya DasGupta. Additionally, Raj Ghosh's upcoming mystery thriller, Ayu Rekha, is also set for release in March.
