The 1 minute 52 seconds trailer which has been released on 31st December 2022 assures a high-octane action thriller this Pongal. The movie starring Ajith Kumar and Manju Warrier will be released in theatres on 12th January 2023. Ajith Kumar is seen portraying the character of a bank robber who took the people of the bank as hostages to fulfill his demand.
The story doesn’t look unique as we have seen many such movies based on this concept but the action sequences and Ajith Kumar’s character looked interesting. Ajith Kumar is back on the big screen after Valimai which was also directed by H. Vinoth. The story looks quite similar to Vijay starrer Beast which was released at the beginning of this year.
Manju Warrier who featured in movies like Lucifer, How Old Are You?, Asuran, Kanmadam, & Kannezhuthi Pottum Thottu is the female lead of this action thriller. Samuthirakani, Ajay, Mamathi Chari, Bagavathi Perumal, & John Kokken will be seen in crucial roles.
This is the 5th directorial film of H. Vinoth after Sathuranga Vettai, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Nerkonda Paarvai, & Valimai and 3rd collaboration with Ajith Kumar after Nerkonda Paarvai, & Valimai. Thunivu will clash with Vijay starrer upcoming film Varisu directed by Vamshi Paidipally.
