Anirban Bhattacharya’s Directorial Debut on OTT Platform:
After directing a few plays Anirban Bhattacharya is finally going to make his directorial debut on the OTT platform with the “Mandaar” web series. The story of this series is based on Shakespeare’s “Macbeth”.
Anirban Bhattacharya came to fame with the telefilm “Kader Kuler Bou” of Zee Bangla. He is also a very good theatre actor, having his theatre group named “Sangharam Hatibagan”.
The versatile actor of the Bengali Film Industry Anirban Bhattacharya is currently enjoying the success of his recently released movie “Mukhosh”. He had played the character of a criminologist in it & was directed by Birsa Dasgupta.

Mandaar Teaser Review:
The teaser of “Mandaar” was released on 06th October 2021, introducing us to the piscine world of Gelpur. Sohini Sarkar’s intense look and the narration have made us more excited about this one. Anirban Bhattacharya’s directorial skills are quite visible here & we are probably going to witness the arrival of another mastermind director of the Bengali Film Industry. The trailer and release date of “Mandaar” are yet to be announced.
Sohini Sarkar will portray the character of Lady Macbeth while Debasish Mondal was roped in to play the Macbeth character. Sohini Sarkar’s other upcoming project includes “Bonyo Premer Golpo” fame director Sani Ghose Ray’s “Srikanto” where she will portray the character of “Rajlakshmi”. She will be also part of director Saumen Sur’s upcoming movie “Ei Ami Renu”.
Anirban’s upcoming new projects of 2021 include “Byomkesh 7”, director Raajorshi Dey’s “Birpurush” & director Arindam Sil’s “Balighar”.
