Pagglait Movie Story & Performances:
The opening scene of the movie will give you a brief idea about the loveless relationship of a couple. After the death of Astik Giri, the whole family is yet to get over this tragic incident.
But Astik’s wife Sandhya(Sanya
Malhotra) seems unaffected by this. She was busy checking comments on her
social media profiles.
The arrival of her friend Nazia(Shruti Sharma) gave her a
bit of relief. Sandhya asked for a Pepsi and a packet of chips in the name of
Nazia. She was feeling very hungry but her current status as a widow doesn’t allow
her to eat all those things.
Tarun(Rajesh Tailang) was not happy as he was not informed
by Astik’s father Shibendra Giri(Ashutosh Rana) about this tragic incident.
While checking some files of her husband’s office, she found
a photo of a girl inside a file, and on the other side of the photo there was
written: “For My Jaanu..”. She was angry and broken from inside and wanted to
meet her.
Sandhya expressed her wish of eating “golgappa” to Nazia,
she was quite shocked hearing this from her. A few people came from Astik’s
office to stand by the family in such a situation.
There she found that girl Akansha Roy(Sayani Gupta). She was
holding the position of Vice President Marketing in the same company where
Astik worked.
Sandhya had a conversation with Akansha separately where she
gave the photo and asked about their relationship. Akansha was honest about the
relationship and she informed her everything.
Pagglait is more about uncovering the dark side of our society
by a brave girl who lived on her terms without caring much about society. This
was an impactful performance from Sanya Malhotra. She has been phenomenal since
her debut in the “Dangal” movie.
She has also delivered some remarkable performances in
movies like “Badhaai Ho”, “Ludo”, “Shakuntala Devi”.
Some of the upcoming projects of Sanya Malhotra are “Meenakshi
Sundershwar”, “Love Hostel”, etc.
Sheeba Chaddha and Ashutosh Rana were equally effective. Raghubir
Yadav, Shruti Sharma, Natasha Rastogi, Rajesh Tailang also provided notable
performances in the “Pagglait” movie.
