Jenny (2024) Drama Review: Tasnia Farin shines in this Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz directorial drama

Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz's directorial drama Jenny, starring Tasnia Farin and Partho Sheikh in the lead roles, premiered on May 1st, 2024, on the Cinemawala channel.

The story revolves around Jenny (Tasnia Farin), the eldest child of the family, who decides to help her retired father financially by taking up a job. She also desires to ensure her brother receives a proper education so that he can shoulder responsibilities in the future.

However, she encounters numerous challenges both within the office and from the local community. During her commute to work, she meets Riyaj (Partho Sheikh) on the bus. Will Jenny manage to overcome these obstacles and become an independent woman?

Tasnia Farin's portrayal of Jenny is the heart and soul of the drama. Her character embodies the essence of any girl who speaks out against injustice and aspires for financial independence to support her family. Farin delivers a compelling performance with utmost conviction.

Shahriar Marcell and Naved Parvez shine with their praiseworthy background score. Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz demonstrates proficiency in both scriptwriting and direction. However, the on-screen chemistry between Jenny and Riyaj could have been given more focus in the script, enhancing the enjoyment of the climax. Partho Sheikh's character, unfortunately, lacked substantial depth in the script.
