On 7th April 2024, superstar Allu Arjun shared a new poster from his upcoming film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, and confirmed that the teaser of this film will be unveiled on 8th April 2024 at 11:07 am, on the grand occasion of Allu Arjun’s 42nd birthday.
The news promises a double celebration for fans tomorrow. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres worldwide on 15th August 2024, clashing with Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again.
The new poster features Allu Arjun sitting on a well-designed chair in an intense look, staring from the upper part of his goggles with an axe in his hand, making the fans go crazy on social media platforms. Some of them are expecting the film to be the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024.
Sukumar Bandreddi, who directed the first installment of this franchise, Pushpa: The Rise, will also direct the 2nd installment. The film marks the 9th directorial venture of Sukumar and his 4th collaboration with Allu Arjun after "Arya," "Arya 2," and "Pushpa: The Rise."
The overwhelming response to part 1 helped the makers fast-forward the part 2, and it is expected to bring in better box office collections. Part 1 had a box office collection of more than Rs 360 crores.
Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj will reprise the titular role, while Fahadh Faasil as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekawat IPS will reprise the main antagonist role, and Rashmika Mandanna will reprise her role as Pushpa's wife, Srivalli.
Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari as Kesava aka Mondelu, Sunil as Mangalam Srinu, Anasuya Bharadwaj as Mangalam Srinu's wife Dakshayani, Rao Ramesh as MP Bhumireddy Siddappa Naidu, and Dhananjaya as Jaali Reddy will reprise their roles from part 1. Jagapathi Babu and Prakash Raj have been added to the cast of part 2, who were not in part 1.
The action thriller Pushpa 2: The Rule has been written by Sukumar and Srikanth Vissa. Music director Devi Sri Prasad continues his strong bond with Sukumar by composing the music for this film, as he has done for all of Sukumar’s previous 8 films. Karthika Srinivas and Ruben will edit the film, and Miroslaw Kuba Brozek is responsible for the cinematography. The film has been jointly produced by the production companies Mythri Movie Makers & Sukumar Writings.
This is Sukumar’s 4th collaboration with editor Karthika Srinivas after "100% Love," "1: Nenokkadine," and "Pushpa: The Rise," and his 2nd collaboration with editor Livingston Antony Ruben and cinematographer Miroslaw Kuba Brozek. The film marks Mythri Movie Makers’ 2nd collaboration with Allu Arjun and 3rd collaboration with Sukumar.
