On 7th April 2024, Chorki unveiled the official trailer of the upcoming romantic drama film, Last Defenders of Monogamy. Chanchal Chowdhury and Xefer Rahman are the male and female leads, respectively, of this film directed by Mustafa Sarayar Farooqui.
The 2-and-a-half-minute trailer begins with Shafkat (Chanchal Chowdhury) telling a friend a story of a man who is going through a disaster in his life and wants to get rid of it by drinking. He wants to know how many spoons of a drink will make him completely drunk.
Shafkat seems to be unhappy with his married life and wants some emotional support from his colleague, Lamia (Xefer Rahman). Does Shafkat love Lamia? Will Lamia be able to help Shafkat overcome the tragedy he faced in his life? We will get the answers when the film starts streaming on Chorki this Eid Ul Fitr.
The emotional and comedy scenes in the trailer looked okay. Chanchal Chowdhury is the major highlight here. Xefer Rahman did not get enough opportunity in the trailer to showcase her potential. The background score and music composition will be another interesting aspect of this film.
Xefer Rahman is making her acting debut in a lead role in this film. Mustafa Sarayar Farooqui and Chanchal Chowdhury previously collaborated on projects like "Television," "Talpatar Shepai," "Ayesha," and "Ladies & Gentlemen."
