Babli (2024) Bengali Movie: The shooting of Subhashree Ganguly’s new film will begin soon
On January 25, 2024, Raj Chakraborty Entertainment shared several pictures from the Mahurat of their upcoming romantic comedy film Babli. Directed by Raj Chakraborty, the film stars Subhashree Ganguly, Abir Chatterjee, and Sauraseni Maitra in the lead roles. Indraadip Dasgupta will compose the music for the film, and shooting is scheduled to commence soon.
On January 26, 2024, Raj Chakraborty Entertainment unveiled a one-and-a-half-minute glimpse video from the Mahurat, showcasing the entry of the director, lead cast, and the music director who was present during the ceremony.
Abir Chatterjee expressed that the film holds special significance for him for various reasons, such as reuniting with Raj Chakraborty after more than 10 years and marking his first collaboration with Indubala Bhater Hotel & Parineeta fame talented actress Subhashree Ganguly. Music composer Indraadip Dasgupta mentioned that the film will feature a total of 5 romantic songs, expressing hope that audiences will enjoy them.
Director Raj Chakraborty conveyed his fondness for romantic stories, stating that "Babli" is also a romantic film, and if executed well, it will be well-received by audiences. Sauraseni Maitra expressed her admiration for Raj Chakraborty's films and her excitement at finally getting an opportunity to work with him.
