Fukrey 3 Trailer: Bholi Punjaban vs. Choocha Looks Interesting

Excel Entertainment has released the trailer for the highly-anticipated comedy-drama film, "Fukrey 3." This marks the return of the beloved franchise after a six-year hiatus since the release of its second installment.

"Fukrey," the initial entry in the series, hit theaters on June 14, 2013, and raked in an impressive box office collection exceeding Rs 80 crores. Subsequently, "Fukrey Returns" graced the silver screen on December 8, 2017, amassing over Rs 100 crores in box office earnings.

Mark your calendars for September 28, 2023, as "Fukrey 3" is set to make its theatrical debut. Director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, who helmed the first two installments, will return to direct this third chapter.

The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast with Pulkit Samrat reprising his role as Vikas Gulati, also known as Hunny, alongside Manjot Singh as Lali Halwai, Varun Sharma as Dilip Singh, aka Choocha, Pankaj Tripathi as Panditji, and Richa Chaddha as Bholi Punjaban—all returning to reprise their iconic characters from the previous installments.

The 2-minute and 52-second trailer kicks off by revisiting memorable moments from the first installment, where a teacher expresses concern about Hunny and Choocha's potential to fail their exams for the third time.

The trailer then shifts to a scene from the second installment, where Choocha delivers a speech in front of classmates after successfully passing their school exams and planning for college admission.

In this installment, Bholi Punjaban enters the political arena, and Choocha reluctantly agrees to contest against her, fully aware of the chaos that could ensue if she wins. Hunny and Panditji stepped in to provide Choocha with the necessary support.

The film's story is penned by Vipul Vig, with additional screenplay and dialogues crafted by the director himself. Amalendu Chaudhary is the cinematographer, while Tanishk Bagchi takes charge of the music composition.

Pankaj Tripathi, a versatile actor known for his exceptional performances, adds to the film's allure. In addition to "Fukrey 3," he recently achieved success with the comedy-drama OMG 2, which earned over Rs 200 crores at the box office.

Upcoming projects also include portraying the role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the 10th Prime Minister of India, in "Main Hoon Atal," and featuring in "Stree 2." His remarkable performance in the crime thriller Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach left a lasting impression on audiences last year.
