Ayan Mukerji confirms War 2, Brahmāstra Part 2 and Part 3

On 4th April 2023, director Ayan Mukerji announced two exciting news through his social media handle. He confirms releasing Brahmāstra Part 2: Dev in December 2026 and Part 3 in December 2027.

He also confirmed directing War 2 which is the 7th project of YRF Spy Universe after blockbusters like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, & Tiger 3. This is certainly a huge challenge for him because this is the first time he will direct a spy thriller and that too for the sequel of a blockbuster film like War.

War starring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, & Vaani Kapoor was directed by Siddharth Anand & with a Box office collection of Rs 475.50 crore worldwide it became the highest-grossing Indian film of 2019.

Ayan Mukerji’s previous film Brahmāstra Part 1: Shiva starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, & Nagarjuna Akkineni also succeeded at the box office & with a collection of Rs 431 crore it became the highest-grossing Indian film of 2022.

At the launch event of the action-thriller War director Siddharth Anand confirmed working on the script of the sequel but now as per the official announcement, Ayan Mukerji will be directing Hrithik Roshan starrer War 2 & the story of this spy thriller will be inspired by the events of Salman Khan starrer action thriller Tiger 3. Audiences are eagerly waiting to see Ayan Mukerji recreating the magic of Brahmāstra Part 1 in his upcoming films.
