Following their successful collaborations with Bobby Deol in Soldier and Ajnabee, the duo reunited with the actor for the third time in Humraaz. Released in theatres on 5 July 2002, Humraaz starred Bobby Deol, Akshaye Khanna, and Ameesha Patel in the lead roles.

The story of this film revolves around Karan Malhotra and Priya, two dancers in the same troupe, who are secretly in love and plot to marry wealthy businessman Raj Singhania to gain his fortune. After Raj falls for Priya and marries her, Karan continues manipulating events while eliminating anyone who threatens their plan.
As Raj's love and kindness change Priya's heart, she decides to abandon the conspiracy. A furious Karan turns against both of them, leading to a series of betrayals and a deadly confrontation. In the climax, Priya saves Raj by killing Karan, and the couple reunites.
