On the grand occasion of Superstar Allu Arjun’s birthday on 8th April, the production house Sun Pictures unveiled the first-look poster of their upcoming film Raaka, which marks Allu Arjun’s 22nd film as a lead actor.
The film also marks the 6th directorial venture of Atlee, following Raja Rani, Theri, Mersal, Bigil, and Jawan. Atlee delivered back-to-back successful films in Tamil cinema in collaboration with Vijay, and later made his dream Bollywood debut with Jawan alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Now, it seems like the perfect time for his dream Telugu debut with Raaka, collaborating with Allu Arjun.
Atlee has revealed that the story of Raaka has been close to his heart for 18 years, adding a deeply personal touch to the project. Deepika Padukone plays the female lead in the film, marking her maiden collaboration with Allu Arjun and her second collaboration with Atlee after Jawan.
The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in 2027. Allu Arjun has been consistently raising the bar with each film. He first crossed the ₹200 crore mark at the box office with Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Pushpa Part 1 went on to collect over ₹300 crore, while Pushpa 2 created history with earnings exceeding ₹1600 crore.
After the massive success of his last three films, anticipation for his next project is sky-high, and the first-look poster has already generated tremendous excitement among moviegoers. The poster features a wolf-like furry hand with sharp claws partially covering Allu Arjun’s face. His half-bald, rugged look adds to the intensity and hints at the film’s intriguing theme.
