Imtiaz Ali's directorial musical romantic drama film Rockstar completed 14 years. Starring Superstar Ranbir Kapoor, Nargis Fakhri, Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles, the film was released in theatres on 11th November 2011.
Made on a budget of ₹60 crore, the film collected ₹109 crore in its initial run and an additional ₹10–12 crore from its re-release, emerging as a semi-hit at the box office, became 8th highest-grossing Hindi film of 2011.

At the 13th IIFA Awards, the film received 10 nominations and won 6 awards, including Best Actor (Ranbir Kapoor), Hottest Pair of the Year (Ranbir Kapoor & Nargis Fakhri), Best Music Director (A. R. Rahman), Best Background Score, Best Lyricist (Irshad Kamil for “Nadaan Parindey”), and Best Male Playback Singer (Mohit Chauhan for “Nadaan Parindey”).
