In contrast, his onscreen bond with his wife (Kheya Chattopadhyay) remains underexplored, with only one or two scenes standing out. The sequence where Achinta Aich is saved by his wife and young Nupur remains one of the most memorable and loved moments of this season. The series also beautifully captures the societal hatred Achinta Aich faces for defending Ranajoy and for giving little Nupur shelter in his own home.
The father-son relationship between Achinta and his father is beautifully captured. Though the father initially opposes Achinta’s decision to defend Ranajoy, his eventual display of affection and concern for little Nupur adds emotional depth to the series.
Sohini Sengupta is a brilliant addition to the cast, delivering a commanding performance in the courtroom and dominating most episodes until the finale. Satyam Bhattacharya does justice to his part despite limited screen time, while Kheya Chattopadhyay looks convincing in her brief role and impresses especially in the lone action sequence.
Somak Ghosh, Dulal Lahiri, Rupanjana Mitra, Anumegha, and Ananya Guha also make valuable contributions with their characters. On the technical front, Subhadeep Guha’s background score works well enough, while Joydeep Mukherjee deserves praise for maintaining the intensity and engagement of the courtroom drama.
Tuban’s cinematography and Malay Laha’s editing are functional and decent, complementing the overall narrative. The only noticeable disappointment lies in Saswata Chatterjee’s cameo. With such a powerhouse performer, the role felt underutilized—he could have been given more screen presence and a stronger involvement in the investigation, which would have helped Achinta Aich close in on the truth more compellingly.
That said, the suspense factor is maintained skillfully throughout, keeping viewers guessing about the true culprit until the final reveal, which lands as a satisfying twist. Overall, Advocate Achinta Aich 2 stands out as an engaging and well-crafted courtroom drama, powered by solid performances, sharp writing, and a suspenseful narrative that builds up to a gripping final twist.
