On 25th April 2025, Windows Production unveiled the official trailer of their upcoming family entertainer, Aamar Boss. Directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, the film stars the legendary Raakhee Gulzar, Shiboprosad Mukherjee, and Srabanti Chatterjee in the lead roles.
Sauraseni Maitra, Shruti Das, Gourab Chatterjee, Avery Singha Roy, Aishwarya Sen, Sabitri Chatterjee, Biswajit Chakraborty, Kanchan Mullick, and Uma Banerjee will be seen in significant roles in this film. The movie is all set to release in cinemas on 9th May 2025, perfectly timed just two days prior to Mother's Day on 11th May this year.
In the 3-minute trailer, the touching relationship between mother Shubhra Goswami (Raakhee Gulzar) and her son Animesh (Shiboprosad Mukherjee) takes center stage. The most striking moment of the trailer comes in its final scene, where Shiboprosad Mukherjee powerfully echoes Amitabh Bachchan’s famous Deewaar line, "Mere Paas Maa Hai."
The film explores a thought-provoking concept: addressing the worry employees have for their aging parents at home by proposing that organizations establish daycare centers to care for them during working hours. The trailer beautifully showcases Indranath Marick’s cinematography, capturing the tender mother-son moments between Raakhee Gulzar and Shiboprosad Mukherjee.
Anupam Roy’s music composition has already impressed listeners, while Prabuddha Banerjee’s background score in the trailer leaves a strong impact.
May promises to be a treat for cinema enthusiasts. Aamar Boss is set for a 9th May release, while Mithun Chakraborty, Anjan Dutt, and Anjana Basu’s Shreeman Vs Shreemati hits screens on 1st May. Anirban Chakrabarti’s The Eken – Benaras e Bibhishika lands in cinemas on 16th May, and Parambrata Chatterjee, Koel Mallick, and Gaurav Chakraborty starrer Sonar Kellay Jawker Dhan releases on 30th May.
