Vijay Lalwani's psychological thriller Karthik Calling Karthik, which he wrote and directed, marks 15 years since its release. The film was produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under Magic Beans Films and Excel Entertainment.
The film stars Farhan Akhtar, Deepika Padukone, Vivan Bhatena, Ram Kapoor, Shefali Shah, and Vipin Sharma. It was released on 26 February 2010. The film was distributed by AA Films and Eros International.

At the 3rd Mirchi Music Awards, Shankar Mahadevan was nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year for "Uff Teri Adaa," while Sukanya Purayastha received a nomination for Upcoming Female Vocalist of the Year for "Kaisi Hai Yeh Udaasi." Abhay Rumde, Sameer Khan, Kim Koshie, Chinmay Harshe, and Vijay Benegal were nominated for Best Song Recording for "Uff Teri Adaa."
Living a monotonous and lonely life, Karthik (Farhan Akhtar) is a man no one sees—overlooked by his peers, belittled by his boss, and unnoticed by Shonali (Deepika Padukone), the woman he silently adores. With nothing left to lose, he prepares to end it all. But a late-night call from his own voice sets him on a path of transformation, blurring the lines between reality and illusion.
