On March 7, 2025, Hoichoi released the official trailer of their upcoming web series Dainee. Directed by Nirjhar Mitra, the series stars Mimi Chakraborty and Koushani Mukhopadhyay Zanjeen in the lead roles and is set to premiere on Hoichoi on March 14, 2025.
The tension builds from the very first frame of the 2-minute 20-second trailer, where Pata (Mimi Chakraborty) is seen waiting at a railway station, ready to return home after years away.
Determined to find her sister Lata (Koushani Mukhopadhyay Zanjeen), Pata embarks on a relentless search, only to uncover a terrifying scene—Lata, bruised, bound, and moments away from being burned alive by an outraged crowd.
She rescues Lata and rushes her to the nearest hospital, only to face another cruel reality—the doctors and staff refuse to treat her, branding her a witch. As hostility mounts and the villagers close in, the question remains: Can Pata defy the odds and save her sister before it’s too late?
With Mimi Chakraborty at the forefront, the trailer captivates with its intensity. The powerful background score and stunning cinematography further elevate the impact, making it all the more compelling.
The series marks director Nirjhar Mitra's maiden collaboration with Mimi Chakraborty. The series is written by Nilanjan Chakraborty, Shayak Chakraborty, and Nirjhar Mitra. Mimi Chakraborty was last seen in director Raihan Rafi's Toofan, opposite Shakib Khan, alongside Chanchal Chowdhury and Masuma Rahman Nabila.
