On February 21, 2025, Hoichoi released an announcement teaser confirming the release date of their upcoming web series Dainee. Directed by Nirjhar Mitra, the series stars Mimi Chakraborty in the lead role and is set to premiere on Hoichoi on March 14, 2025.
The series is written by Nilanjan Chakraborty, Shayak Chakraborty, and Nirjhar Mitra. The 1 and half minutes teaser opens with a haunting narration by the protagonist, Pata (Mimi Chakraborty), reflecting on her past.
She recalls how her mother always told her it was her responsibility to protect her sister, Lata, but she failed to do so. Instead, she saw her as jinxed and abandoned her in a hellish place, never looking back.
However, the tone shifts when Pata declares that if anyone tries to harm Lata, there will be destruction—suggesting a vengeful or intense struggle for survival. The dark and eerie atmosphere, combined with the theme of guilt, abandonment, and retribution, hints at a gripping, possibly supernatural or psychological thriller.
Earlier, on the grand occasion of Mimi Chakraborty's 36th birthday, Hoichoi unveiled the official poster of the series. The series marks director Nirjhar Mitra's maiden collaboration with Mimi Chakraborty.
The announcement teaser is gripping, and the background score enhances the intensity. Mimi Chakraborty looks stunning with blood on her face, showcasing her fierce action avatar.
Mimi Chakraborty was last seen in director Raihan Rafi's Toofan, opposite Shakib Khan, alongside Chanchal Chowdhury and Masuma Rahman Nabila.
