Keith Gomes's directorial musical action film Badass Ravikumar starring Himesh Reshammiya, Prabhu Deva, and Kirti Kulhari in the lead roles was released in theatres on 7th February 2025.
Simona, Saurabh Sachdeva, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Prashant Narayanan, Rajesh Sharma, Manish Wadhwa, Anil George, Mustafa Askari, and Sunny Leone appeared in crucial roles in this film
The film starts with a disclaimer suggesting that logic is optional. It follows Ravi Kumar, an intense and unrelenting cop who refuses to follow traditional protocols in his pursuit of justice.
His latest challenge pits him against Carlos (Prabhu Deva), a dangerous and deranged gangster seeking a top-secret security reel. As Ravi battles to keep it safe, he stumbles upon surprising revelations about his past.
Prabhu Deva shines as Carlos, infusing the villainous role with a captivating mix of menace and flamboyance. His commanding screen presence ensures he owns every scene. With no other actor making a significant impact, he stands as the lone highlight.
Himesh Reshammiya's performance is largely difficult to endure, except for a handful of well-delivered dialogues, a few action sequences, and the intense clash scenes with Prabhu Deva.
With Tere Pyaar Mein being a notable track and a decent background score, the film still struggles with its visual effects. Additionally, the placement of multiple songs in succession hampers the narrative flow.
Talents like Kirti Kulhari, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, and Rajesh Sharma were utterly underutilized, with their presence making little to no impact on the film.
Did you like the trailer? Are you a Himesh Reshammiya fan? If your answer to both is yes, then you can definitely give it a watch. Otherwise, you’re better off giving your mind a rest for nearly two and a half hours.
