Satte Pe Satta: Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini Starring Film Turned 43 Years

Raj N. Sippy's directorial action comedy film Satte Pe Satta turned 43 years. The film was produced by Romu N. Sippy under the banner of Rupam Chitra.

The film, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, and Amjad Khan in the lead roles, was released in theatres on 22nd January 1982. The film marked director Raj N Sippy's 3rd collaboration with Amjad Khan after Inkaar and Josh.

Ranjeeta Kaur, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Sudhir, Shakti Kapoor, Kanwarjit Paintal, Kanwaljit Singh, and Vikram Sahu appeared in crucial roles in this film. The film marked director Raj N Sippy's 2nd collaboration with Shakti Kapoor after Josh in 1981.

The story of the film was adapted from director Stanley Donen's American film Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Satte Pe Satta marked 3rd directorial venture of Raj N Sippy. He made his directorial debut in 1977 with the thriller film Inkaar starring Vinod Khanna, Vidya Sinha, Amjad Khan, and Shreeram Lagoo.

Satte Pe Satta marked director Raj N Sippy's maiden collaboration with Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini. Rahul Dev Burman composed the music for this film marking his maiden collaboration with director Raj N Sippy.

The film marked the 12th collaboration between Amitabh Bachchan, and Hema Malini after Naseeb, Sholay, Trishul, Do Aur Do Paanch, Dost, Cinema Cinema, Chhoti Si Baat, Kunwara Baap, Garam Masala, Kasauti, Gehri Chaal.
