Raihan Rafi's directorial action thriller Toofan, starring Superstar Shakib Khan, Chanchal Chowdhury, Mimi Chakraborty, and Masuma Rahman Nabila in the lead roles, was released in theaters in Bangladesh on June 17, 2024. The film has received a massive response in Bangladesh, with audiences especially praising Shakib Khan’s performance.
The film is a joint venture of SVF Entertainment, Chorki, and Alpha-I and was also released internationally in theaters on June 28, 2024. On the same day, SVF Entertainment confirmed that Toofan will be released in theaters in India on July 5, 2024.
Raihan Rafi wrote the story of Toofan, Adnan Adib Khan wrote the screenplay, Tahsin Rahman is the DOP, Jobayar Abir Peal edited the film, and the music was composed by Pritom Hasan, Naved Parvez, and Arafat Mohsin.
Most of the successful Bangladeshi films previously released in India did not receive the same response as in Bangladesh, so it will be interesting to see how Toofan performs in India.
