On 18th May 2024, Hoichoi confirmed the release date of their upcoming web series Gobhir Joler Maach Season 2 and shared a recap of Season 1. The series, created by Sahana Dutta, premieres on Hoichoi on 7th June 2024.
Season 1 featured Ananya Sen, Ushasi Ray, Swastika Dutta, Rajdeep Gupta, Shoumo Banerjee, Judhajit Sarkar, Prantik Banerjee, and Trina Saha in leading roles. Notably, Trina Saha will not be part of Season 2.
The story of Season 1 revolved around four childhood friends, portrayed by Ananya Sen, Ushasi Ray, Swastika Dutta, and Trina Saha, and a game of partner swapping among them that led to the death of Ananya Sen’s character, Chandrima. Season 1 had few positive aspects; let's hope the makers bring something better in Season 2.
