On 25th March 2024, Cinemawala unveiled the first glimpse of their upcoming thriller, Omar. Directed by Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz, the thriller stars Sariful Razz, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Nasir Uddin Khan, Darshana Banik, Arfan Mredha Shiblu, Rosey Siddique, Abu Hurayra Tanvir, Nafis Ahmed, Aymon Shimla, Shohag Alam, Tanzila Hoque Maisha, Bappi Ashraf, Kanchan, and Abul Kalam Ajad.
The one-and-a-half-minute teaser begins with a few sweet and romantic scenes, but due to some unexpected events, things turn out to be quite thrilling. Sariful Razz plays the male lead, and Darshana Banik appears in an item song. Nasir Uddin Khan portrays the antagonist in the film. The music by Savvy and Naved Parvez is impressive.
The story was written by Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz, while Siddiq Ahamed penned the screenplay. Raju Raj is handling the cinematography, and Ripon Nath is the sound designer. The film is produced by Khorshed Alam under the banner of Master Communications. MD Kalam has edited the film, which is scheduled to be released this Eid Ul Fitar.
"Omar" is the 5th directorial venture of Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz, following "Projapoti: The Mysterious Bird", "Taarkata", "Samraat: The King Is Here", and "Jodi Ekdin", and marks his maiden collaboration with Sariful Razz.
