Shabash Feluda: Gangtoke Gondogol-Arindam Sil directorial series premieres on ZEE5 this May

Actor Parambrata Chattopadhyay will play the character of Sleuth Prodosh Chandra Mitter aka Feluda in Arindam Sil's directorial upcoming series Shabash Feluda: Gangtoke Gondogol. This Arindam Sil directorial series premieres on 5th May 2023 on ZEE5. The series has been adapted from Legendary Filmmaker Satyajit Ray’s short novel with the same title.

The story is set in 2017 so we will see a modern Feluda for the first time who uses gadgets like smartphone & smartwatch. Rwitobroto Mukherjee will portray the character of Tapesh Ranjan Mitter aka Topshe.

This time Prodosh Chandra Mitter aka Feluda and Topshe will visit Gangtok to spend their summer holiday. There Prodosh Chandra Mitter was appointed by Shasadhar Bose to investigate the death of Selbhankar who is Shasadhar’s business partner. The challenges Feluda faces to uncover the truth forms the plot.

Sauraseni Maitra will play the character of an investigating officer. Ritwick Chakraborty and Rudranil Ghosh will be seen in significant roles in this series.

This year Arindam Sil’s Maayakumari didn’t work at the box office. He will also direct upcoming films Jongole Mitin Mashi & Iskaboner Bibi. After directing detective thrillers on Byomkesh Bakshi and Shabor he is trying his hand at one of Bengali’s favourite detectives Feluda.

Parambrata Chattopadhyay worked as Topshe in Bombaiyer Bombete, Kailashey Kelenkari, & Tintorettor Jishu. He was featured as Feluda in his own directorial series titled Feluda in 2017. He will be featured in upcoming projects like Lawho Gouranger Naam Re, Shibpur, Chakdaha Express, Headline, & Notary.

This is the maiden collaboration between actor Parambrata Chattopadhyay and director Arindam Sil so, it will be interesting to see how audiences react to this new combination.
