On 14th May 2022, the legendary filmmaker’s 99th birth anniversary director Srijit Mukherji announced his upcoming web series titled Padatik.

The web series Padatik is a great way to pay tribute to the legendary filmmaker Mrinal Sen who received 18 National Film Awards. His contribution to experimental filmmaking in Indian Cinema is quite unmatched.
He introduced us to versatile actors like Uttam Kumar and Mithun Chakrabarty. His directorial debut movie Raat Bhor was released in 1955 which also marked the debut of Uttam Kumar. His movie Mrigaya was released in 1976 which marked the debut of Mithun Chakrabarty.
Padatik was Mrinal Sen’s movie which was released in 1973 & Dhritiman Chatterjee, Simi Grewal and Bijon Bhattacharya were in the lead roles.
After Kakababur Protyaborton, Srijit Mukherji's next movie X=Prem will be released in theatres on 3rd June 2022. Shabaash Mithu is scheduled to be released on 15 July 2022. Apart from these two movies, the release date of his other upcoming movies Sherdil, Oti Uttam, Lawho Gouranger Naam Re, and Durgo Rahasya are yet to be announced.
Also, his upcoming web series Feludar Goyendagiri will be released on Hoichoi soon.
