The reopening of theatres from 22nd October 2021 in Maharashtra has helped the makers confirming releasing the movie on 8th July 2022.
John Abraham and Director Mohit Suri’s Maiden Collaboration:
“Ek Villain Returns” is the sequel of director Mohit Suri’s action thriller “Ek Villain” which was released in 2014 & starred Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Shraddha Kapoor. Riteish Deshmukh played the villain’s role in that movie & received accolades for delivering a top-notch performance. The movie’s box office collection was around ₹1.056 billion in just three weeks of its release.
John Abraham & Arjun Kapoor are the heroes while Disha Patani & Tara Sutaria were roped in for heroines’ roles for Ek Villain 2. The movie also marks the maiden collaboration between John Abraham and Director Mohit Suri.
While “Ek Villain” was produced under producers Ekta Kapoor & Shobha Kapoor’s banner “Balaji Motion Pictures”, “Ek Villain Returns” will be jointly bankrolled by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar under their banners Balaji Motion Pictures & T-Series.
The story of this sequel will be completely different from the earlier one and there is no official hint yet about the villain of “Ek Villain Returns” movie.
