Director Parambrata Chatterjee & Actress Koel Mallick’s Maiden Collaboration:
After “Tiki Taka” in 2020, Parambrata Chatterjee’s upcoming directorial movie titled “Bony” will release in Durga Puja 2021. He is also playing the character of the male lead while Koel Mallick is the female lead in this movie.
Anjan Dutt and Kanchan Mallick will also be playing crucial roles in “Bony”. Anupam Roy will compose the music of this science fiction, thriller genre Bengali movie. The exact release date has not been announced yet by the makers.
The story of “Bony” is based on Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay’s novel. It’s about a child having a superpower. Parambrata Chatterjee expressed his excitement to team up with Koel Mallick again while sharing the news through his social media handle.
This is their third collaboration in the last 7 years after “Highway” & “Sagardwipey Jawker Dhan”. They have also worked together in Srijit Mukherji’s movie “Hemlock Society” & director Prabhat Roy’s movie “Shubhodrishti”.
The shooting of the movie was mainly done in various parts of Italy, including Milan and Tuscany. The “Bony” movie marks director Parambrata Chatterjee & Actress Koel Mallick’s maiden collaboration.
Parambrata’s other directorial movie “Abhijaan” which is the biopic of Soumitra Chatterjee, is also supposed to be released this year. He made his directorial debut with the movie “Jiyo Kaka” in 2011.
Actress Koel Mallick was last seen in director Abhimanyu Mukherjee’s thriller drama movie “Flyover” in 2021.
