Atkan Chatkan Movie Review: Story & Performances

One should never stop dreaming, as dreaming is actually another way of finding yourself. The dream helps us in providing the strength to fight for it and achieve it.

Atkan Chatkan Movie is revolved around Guddu(played by Lydian Nadhaswaram), a 12-year-old street musician who faces many obstacles to fulfill his dream. Guddu belongs to a poor family, and his drunken father forces him to earn for the family. He works in a tea shop somewhere in UP. Near that shop, there is a band that consists of 4 musicians who practice, and Guddu used to visit there for learning the music.

A fake promise made by those people to give him some work in their band forced Guddu to leave his current work in the tea shop. He took the dues from the tea shop and left for the music band but he realizes they lied to him and he already left his previous work.

Guddu and his three friends Madhav (Yash Rane), Chuttan (Sachin Chaudhary), and Meethi (Tamanna Dipak) decided to make a band to earn some money. They fixed their band name as "Atkan Chatkan". One day while passing by the road they saw a few musicians playing some instruments and people were watching that with interest. They saw some drums and arranged some other things they started playing there.

Observing their performance Principal D’souza (played by Jagdish Rajpurohit) of a music school decided to help them to participate in a competition for their school. Ignoring their every difficulty kids also agreed on the Principal’s proposal.

Atkan Chatkan is the rise of a poor boy to the heights of fame, fortune, and celebrity.

Debutant actor Lydian Nadhaswaram has shown enough maturity in portraying the character of Guddu. He is the only reason with a standout performance to make this one worthy.

Director Shiv Hare has tried to make his directorial debut quite impressive but the story was too common that it failed to leave a good impact.

The spectacular music composed by the percussionist Shivamani will keep you engaged in its tunes.

Atkan Chatkan movie is streaming on ZEE5.
