On 10th November 2025, Superstar Dev shared the official teaser of his upcoming family drama Projapoti 2 through his social media handle. Directed by Avijit Senn, the film stars Superstars Mithun Chakraborty and Dev in the lead roles and is scheduled to release in theatres during Christmas 2025.
The one-and-a-half-minute teaser hints that the film will be filled with emotions and will revolve around the bond between two fathers, their struggles, and the sacrifices they make to keep their families happy. Dev plays the role of a professional chef and a single father.
The teaser also features a subtle comedic moment between Mithun Chakraborty and Kanchan Mullick that works well, but the overall tone of the story suggests there won’t be as much humour as in Projapoti. This film seems to lean more toward drama and emotion. The last dialogue from Dev in the teaser, “Fathers don’t live to be looked after, they live to look after us”, is truly heart-touching.

Remarkably, four of these titles were Christmas releases: Amazon Obhijaan, Khadaan, Chander Pahar, and Projapoti.
From 2021 onward, Dev has delivered consistent Christmas hits with Tonic, Projapoti, Pradhan, and Khadaan. With Projapoti 2 arriving this Christmas, it looks like his festive success run will continue in 2025 as well.
