On 28th October 2025, Hoichoi unveiled the official trailer of their upcoming mystery thriller web series Anusandhan. Directed by Aditi Roy and starring Subhashree Ganguly as the main lead, the series will be released on Hoichoi on 7th November 2025.
The over two-minute trailer looks gripping, with Subhashree Ganguly once again delivering an outstanding presence throughout. There’s no doubt that she has been making smart choices lately, selecting roles with emotional depth and strong narrative impact that truly resonate with the audience.
Subhashree Ganguly portrays investigative journalist Anumita Sen, who is determined to uncover the truth behind the crimes taking place inside Rooppur Correctional Home. Aware of the life-threatening risks, she courageously steps inside the prison to expose the reality.
Shaheb Chattopadhyay appears solid as the antagonist, while Sagnik Chatterjee, who seems to play a corrupt police officer as hinted in the trailer, adds intrigue to the narrative. It will be interesting to watch the intense face-off between Subhashree Ganguly and Shaheb Chattopadhyay.
How Anumita Sen becomes pregnant inside the cell, and whether she succeeds in uncovering the truth behind women getting pregnant within the female prison, will be revealed in the series.
Sohini Sengupta once again commands attention, even with just a few scenes in the trailer—her expressions and dialogue delivery are truly outstanding. Aritra Dutta Banik makes a notable comeback in this series, seemingly portraying Anumita Sen’s photography assistant. Nabarun Bose’s background score further enhances the overall impact with its impressive composition.
Samragnee Bandyopadhyay handled the story, dialogues, and additional screenplay, while Ayan Chakraborti contributed to the screenplay and additional story. With Ramyadeep Saha handling the cinematography, Subhajit Singha overseeing the edit, and Sreejit Gupta designing the sound, the series ensures strong technical finesse. Swagata Mukherjee, Arijita Mukhopadhyay, Honey Bafna will be seen in crucial roles in this series.
