Unknown Facts About Allu Arjun's Film Desamuduru

Puri Jagannadh's written and directed romantic action film Desamuduru has been scheduled to re-release in theatres on 10th May 2025. The film, starring Superstar Allu Arjun and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles, was originally released in theatres on 12 January 2007.

The film was produced by D. V. V. Danayya under the banner of Universal Media, which also handled its distribution. Desamuduru marked the 14th directorial venture of Puri Jagannadh.

The film marked the maiden collaboration between Allu Arjun and Hansika Motwani. Ali, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, Chandra Mohan, Devan, Pradeep Rawat, Telangana Shakuntala, Subbaraju, Ahuti Prasad, Rama Prabha, and Ajay appeared in crucial roles in this film.

The film marked the Telugu debut of Hansika Motwani in a lead role. Desamuduru marked 5th film for Allu Arjun in a lead role after Gangotri, Arya, Bunny, Happy.

Shyam K. Naidu handled the cinematography of this film, marking his 8th collaboration with director Puri Jagannadh after Idiot, Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi, Sivamani, Andhrawala, 143, Super, and Pokiri.

Marthand K. Venkatesh edited this film, marking his 10th collaboration with director Puri Jagannadh after Badri, Itlu Sravani Subramanyam, Idiot, Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi, Sivamani, Andhrawala, 143, Super, and Pokiri.

Chakri composed the music for this film, marking his 8th collaboration with director Puri Jagannadh after Bachi, Itlu Sravani Subramanyam, Idiot, Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi, Sivamani, Andhrawala, and 143.

With a box office collection of around ₹25 crore, the film emerged as the second highest-grossing Telugu movie of 2007, just behind S. S. Rajamouli’s Yamadonga.

The film marked director Puri Jagannadh's maiden collaboration with Allu Arjun and Hansika Motwani. The film also marked the maiden collaboration between Allu Arjun and music director Chakri.
